You are visiting Busan and don’t know where to stay in Haeundae? After living in Seoul and spending several vacations in Busan, we fell in love with Haeundae Beach and would always choose it as an area to stay in.

Busan is a large metropolis, one of the main cities to visit in South Korea, with a great vibe and the perfect ocean destination.

If you have done your research about the best place to stay in Busan and have decided that Haeundae is the perfect location for you, here is where you will find all the best hotels, apartments, and guesthouses to choose from.

Why choose to stay in Haeundae

Haeundae Beach is one of South Korea’s most stunning beaches, offering visitors spectacular views of the East Sea and a variety of activities.

From swimming and snorkeling to beach volleyball, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the powdery sand and calm waters.

Here is also where you will find plenty of great accommodation options ranging from 5* hotels to great apartments with an ocean view. No matter what your budget is, you will find a great fit.

Moreover, the beach is well-linked by public transportation to most of Busan’s important tourist attractions. On top of that, in the area you will find countless restaurants and street food stalls, serving delicious and fresh seafood, but also international cuisine.

Do people swim at Haeundae Beach?

Yes, they do. Of course, you must follow the current rules based on the weather conditions, but during summer you can swim at Haeundae Beach in Busan.

Paradise Hotel Haeundae

One of the most popular 5* hotels in Busan, Paradise Hotel boasts an infinity pool and many picture-perfect places.

Its location is perfect, within walking distance of the subway station and exactly on the beach. The hotel is 20 kilometers away from Ginhae Airport, and 30 minutes from Busan Train Station.

Guests have particularly appreciated how helpful and friendly the hotel staff was, going out of their way to help them book activities and restaurants in Busan.

The hotel has a SPA and wellness center where guests can relax after a long day of exploration, they offer an airport shuttle and room service.

From here, you can easily access the many cafes around Haeundae Beach, but also hop on the bus, taxi, or subway, to get to the most important attractions in Busan.

Paradise Hotel has 3 restaurants where they serve a wide range of Chinese, Japanese, and Western-style dishes.

It is one of the most popular hotels in the area and in Busan, thus make sure to book ahead of time.

Grand Josun Busan

Another popular 5* hotel at Haeundae Beach, Grand Josun is a local respected brand.

Set right on the beach, offering an open-air pool and an interior swimming pool, a fitness club, and a sauna, this hotel attracts all types of tourists.

There is a kids-only floor for families, making it a great option if you travel to Busan with kids.

On top of that, those who book the Suite Room have access to the Gran J Private Lounge, where they can enjoy daytime coffee and cookies, and nighttime champagne and wine.

Guests enjoyed the hotel’s great location, delicious breakfast, and hotel service.

Park Hyatt Busan

The hotel is set a bit further away from the beach, but closer to the Busan Exhibition and Convention Centre (BEXCO).

This is another 5* hotel, with a restaurant set on the 32nd floor boasting stunning city and ocean views. Previous guests appreciated the service they got, but also the fact that the hotel looks and feels luxurious.

If you are traveling with kids, there is a playground nearby where you can spend your free time.

Moreover, this is one of the only places where you can have an afternoon tea set experience with an incredible ocean view.

If you want to take advantage of the SPA and massage service, you might want to book ahead of time, since spots fill up fast.

Signiel Busan

This luxury hotel is located between the 3rd and the 19th floors of LCT Tower, one of the tall buildings flanking Haeundae beach at one end.

All 260 rooms offer a breathtaking seaview, from where you can enjoy views of Haeundae and Gwangandaegyo Bridge.

The hotel has a separate family lounge at Salon de Signiel. Also, at the hotel’s restaurant, you can enjoy luxurious traditional cantoneese meals.

On top of that, guests can enjoy the hotel’s infinity pool, a luxury spa and a kids outdoor activity garden.

Guests appreciated the luxury of the furnishing, pillows, towels, and other items provided inside the room, but also the service provided by the staff.

Mid-range hotels

Hyggelig

Hyggelig Hotel

This was our hotel choice when we spent one week in Busan.

The hotel has a nice cafe with a stunning rooftop terrace, and rooms are spacious, and come with a balcony, we had a sea view from our room, and we were less than 5 minutes away from the beach.

This is a great option for families as well because they have triple rooms and a 3-bedroom apartment option.

Nearby we had restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores, and most of the main attractions of Haeundae. Mipo train station is less than 5 minutes away, and also the nice promenade along the ocean.

Because we traveled from Seoul by car, parking was free at the hotel.

The downside of this hotel is that its staff wasn’t speaking too much English, and that you need to ask for the bed linen to be changed.

UH Suite Busan

Is another great option if you want to pamper yourself with a sea view from your jacuzzi.

The SPA room is perfect for a couple, a group of friends, or someone traveling with one child. 

Felix by STX Hotel & Suite

All rooms are fully equipped and offer free wifi access. This hotel is a great option for those traveling longer in South Korea, because they can make use of the coin launderette or they can request laundry and dry cleaning services at a fee.

The apart-hotel also offers access to a fitness center and a lounge.

Haeundae Beach is a few minutes away, and the hotel is right next to the subway station, rooms are comfortable and spacious.

Fairfield by Marriott Busan

A 4* hotel with a great location and good price.

Fairfield by Marriott Busan is an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfortable and convenient accommodation in Busan.

Located in the heart of Haeundae, this hotel offers a range of amenities including free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and on-site restaurants.

With modern rooms featuring stylish decor and city views, Fairfield by Marriott Busan ensures guests have everything they need for a memorable stay in one of South Korea’s most exciting cities.

Budget hotels/guesthouses/apartments

MAMA Guesthouse Haeundae

If you are familiar with Korean-style accommodations and you would rather stay in a guesthouse, here is an option close to Haeundae Beach. 

MAMA Guesthouse Haeundae is a highly appreciated guesthouse with simple yet cozy rooms with a private bathroom.

The hostel is located within walking distance from the beach and close to bus and subway stops, but also very close to the street food alley.

Mipo Oceanside Hotel

Mipo Oceanside Hotel boasts an unbeatable location, offering stunning sea views from the comfort of its guest rooms. Both Western-style and Korean-style accommodation options are available, each equipped with free Wi-Fi for added convenience.

With Haeundae Cruise Terminal and picturesque Haeundae Beach just a stone’s throw away, this hotel is ideal for those looking to explore the area.

With sea views from all sides, Mipo Oceanside Hotel provides an unforgettable experience that will leave guests with wonderful memories of their stay.

Blueboat Hostel Haeundae

Located within a mere 600 meters of Haeundae Beach, the hostel features a range of amenities, including a shared lounge and free WiFi.

For added convenience, the accommodation offers a shared kitchen, as well as luggage storage.

The guest rooms come equipped with air conditioning, a seating area, a TV with satellite channels, and a computer.

The units also feature a kitchen and dining area, along with a shared bathroom having all the necessary amenities like a hairdryer, bidet, and shower.

How to get to Haeundae Beach

Getting there is easy by public transportation, no matter how you choose to travel to the city:

  • from Busan Station on the orange line number 1, take the train towards Nopo. At Seomyon station change to the green line number 2 towards Jangsan. Get off at the Haeundae subway station.
  • from Namhae International Airport take the purple subway line all the way until the last stop, Sasang. Change the train to the green line number 2 towards Jangsan. Get off at the Haeundae subway station.

For your convenience and comfort, you can always book a private transfer from Busan Airport or Train station to Haeundae.
