You will be close to many of the most important things to do in Seoul and have perfect access to public transportation.
The Train Station is perfectly linked to Incheon International Airport and is also located in the middle of the city.

Where to stay: hotels near Seoul Station
Staying near the train station doesn’t necessarily mean you will be far from most attractions. Namdaemun Market is within walking distance, and the Myeongdong area is as well.
Unlike in many cities worldwide, the area around the train station isn’t creepy. Seoul is one of the safest cities in the world, and you shouldn’t worry about public safety.
On the other hand, staying close to Seoul Station does not mean you should expect lower accommodation prices. This is a central area, and prices will probably be comparable to those of many other important places to stay.
Here are some of the best hotels for your Seoul vacation.

Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Namdaemun
The hotel I stayed in on my first visit to Seoul was the best place to stay for a first-timer because it had everything we needed and more.
Upon arrival, we were given complimentary face masks, and we even had a view of the Namsan Tower and the Sungnyemun Gate.
Back in the winter of 2019, the hotel was new and really comfortable. From our room, we saw the Namsan Tower. They have a cafe on the ground floor and a nice bar with good finger food for evenings.
Their breakfast was a bit too Asian for my taste, but they had many different types of food and dishes to choose from. After three years of living in Asia, we would go for the local breakfast, but at that time, we preferred the small cafe with croissants and muffins.
The hotel may be a 10-minute walk from Seoul Station and close to the subway and Namdaemun Market.
Millennium Hilton Seoul
This imposing hotel is hard to miss. It is within walking distance from Seoul Station and on your way to Namsan Park and Namsan Tower.
It is one of Seoul’s most popular and appreciated hotels, mainly because of its name, amenities, and location.
I’ve heard many tourists choose to stay at this hotel, which features one of the nicest views in Seoul and an incredible indoor spa.
Many guests have also appreciated the buffet breakfast, the bus service from the airport to the hotel, and its proximity to subway and bus stops.
The rooms have a classic interior design, and you will be close to Seullo, Seoul Station, Namdamun Market, Namsan Park, and Myeongdong.
After a full day on the city’s streets, guests can enjoy a few hours at the hotel’s SPA with a traditional Korean massage, a swim in the indoor pool, or a golf session.
Four Points by Sheraton Josun
Another great hotel near Seoul Station is inside a modern building with an underground passage directly to the train station. You cannot get a closer location than that.
From the front of the hotel, you can take tens of buses or the subway and walk to most of Seoul’s main tourist attractions.
If you are not impressed by the hotel’s dining options, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area.
I would recommend this hotel for a short stay if you want to take KTX early the following day and be close to the train station.
Tmark Grand Hotel Myeongdong
While it is true that this hotel is not exactly across the street from Seoul Station, you can get there on foot or by subway (one very short stop).
If you choose to stay here, you will be in the middle of a shopping area, packed with local restaurants and public transportation options to anywhere you want to go.
Namsan Park and the bustling area of Myeongdong are also 5 minutes away. The view from the hotel’s bar and restaurant is stunning, and some of the rooms also have Namsan Tower views.
A buffet breakfast is served daily, and the hotel boasts a great indoor pool where you can relax at the end of the day.
Guests loved the hotel’s ideal location and the comfortable, clean, and modern rooms.
The hotel is linked to Seoul Station by Seoullo – a lovely pedestrian walkway that makes it highly accessible.
Fraser Place Central Seoul
Another hotel option is conveniently located close to Seoul Station. Set between Seodemun subway station and Seoul Station, you will be 10 minutes away from your train.
Many guests have appreciated the services provided by the hotel’s staff and its facilities, such as the swimming pool and the traditional sauna.
Rooms were considered spacious and comfortable, offering all the amenities guests might need.
It is worth noting that all rooms at this hotel come equipped with a kitchenette and a washer/dryer machine, making it a great choice for those who plan to spend more time in Seoul.
L’Escape Hotel
A vintage-looking hotel set one subway stop away from Seoul Station, close to Namdaemun Market.
Stay here when you want a room with a unique interior design and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Some rooms have a bathtub, and guests have chosen this hotel as a destination for special occasions such as a honeymoon or anniversary.
Aloft Seoul Myeongdong
It is a nice and modern hotel part of a popular hospitality chain. While it is true that you will have a bit of a walk to Seoul Station, getting there by bus couldn’t be easier.
The hotel is set at one of the main crossroads, which leads to the Myeongdong shopping area, Namdaeumun Market, the City Hall, and the old part of the city.
Since you will be minutes away from Myeongdong, you will have tens of street food places and fancy restaurants to choose from.
